Updates: 12 down 11 to go

Alright, so we have made it half way! It's all down hill from here. Cesar will be up at Priest Lake on the 9th of August! I can hardly wait. Luckily I will be going on up to the lake this Thursday(aka tomorrow!!!) with my Mom and Sierra so hopefully that will help time fly by. In honor of going to the lake Kelsey(who sadly isn't coming), my Mom and I went and got Deluxe Pedicures. It was heaven! Dang expensive but so nice! So here are some pictures of our cute toes!

Top left: Kelsey, Top right: Mom, Bottom: Me!
Okay its kind of a gross picture but here is a close up on my cute toes!
Here are some fun pictures Cesar has sent me while he has been out in the desert for Army Training. Poor guy, he has been hot, dusty, sweaty and gross for so long. He loves to shower so since he can't, he has been going through baby wipes like none other to try to keep clean.
Hmmmm I love this face even though he has decided to grow a mustache... men!

Okay this is so sad!!! Cesar accidentally cut open his hand and had to get three stitches. I guess it was pretty deep and he could see pretty far into his hand. Nasty. From what I understand, he was loading the explosives into the gun of their tank and he picked the casing up wrong and cut his hand open. Poor guy.

And this is where we sleeps at night, on a small cot in the desert. Talk about no fun. ha ha at least in my opinion.

Alright, so if Cesar wasn't perfect enough already, he totally just kicked it up a notch. He had a bouquet of flowers delivered to my house this morning! They are beautiful! The card attach says: "I miss you! Thinking of you! I love you!-Cesar"!!!!

A-MAZ-ING!

Thank you Cesar! I love you and miss you too! I can't wait for you to come home :)

Girls Night

Yesterday was a lot of fun. My best friend Lisa and I had a girls night. We kicked the night off right by sunbathing in the remaining sunlight.

Then Lisa used her mad grilling skills and cooked us up some fantastic steaks.

After we ate we went down to the green belt to walk off our meal. It was so nice just to relax and talk. Once we got home we jumped in the hot tub and soaked for a while. The best part of the night was sleeping out under the stars on the trampoline. The only problem I ran into was by 4 AM I was a Popsicle! I was freezing to death. I was afraid the sun was never going to rise and warm me up. Ha ha But luckily it did and I survived the night.

And...today is Cesars birthday! Happy Birthday Cesar :)

2 days down 19 to go!

Thought I would share some fun pictures from Cesar. Like I said before, he is in the Army Reserves and at the moment he is off in the desert somewhere north on Boise, Idaho doing training. So here are some fun pictures he sent from his Blackberry. :)

Happy Birthday Mom!

Saturday, July 18th, was my wonderful mother's birthday! I took her out to lunch to Jimmy Johns to celebrate (I promise I let her pick!). I am so glad to have her in my life and I am grateful for the special relationship that we have. I feel blessed to be able to to consider my mother as one of my closest friends. Happy Birthday Lady!!

Celebrating his 24th a little early...

Here are some pictures from our little birthday celebration. Happy 24th Birthday Cesar!!
Cesar is pretty excited to open all his Army Men themed gifts ha ha (side note: check out his lovely Army haircut... can't wait for it to grow back ha ha)

Posing with some of his presents- Connect Four and a picture of us.

He is my best friend!

And I love the way he says thank you! :)

Playing Connect Four... Cesar is thinking really hard about his next move... but realizes that either way he goes...

I win!!

Here is the yummy cake I got from Albertsons for him.

Cesar really liked his cake...

Lighting all 24 candles was a little interesting...

Note to self: 24 candles on a small cake all close together will eventually make one huge flame...

I am so surprised that we didn't burn the house down... next time I am not lighting candles on the couch....

Singing Happy Birthday and blowing out the candles! :D

Cesar's Birthday Present

So I am currently dating one of the most amazing men alive- no joke! His name is Cesar Salgado. We have been dating for almost two weeks, but I have known of him since the end of October last year when he was about to come home from his mission. He is kind of a big deal around here. I had never seen so much commotion over one persons homecoming. Long story short, I didn't give him much of my time until recently. A couple of my friends have had crushes on him in the past, so I didn't really bother getting to know him- you know the whole friend code of conduct thing.... ha ha
But that has all changed. Cesar came over one night (in the middle of the night) because I was having a hard time with some things in my life. He came over with out asking, because he wanted to comfort me. We ended up talking the whole entire night. After he left I really didn't expect much to change between us. I thought I wouldn't hear from him again till church that Sunday. But I was so wrong. He sent me a text later that day to see how I was doing. And the rest is history. We have seen each other everyday since.
I have never felt so special in my entire life. It is crazy, but I honestly have never been so happy. I will keep you all updated with all the fun things we've been up to. These past two weeks have been amazing! Sadly he left town this morning for Army Training. Cesar is in the Army Reserves and has served over in Iraq. He is going to be gone for the next three weeks for training. I am going to miss him tons!! But we did get to have a little celebration last night before he left. His birthday, which he will have while he is in training, is July 21st. So here are some pictures of his birthday presents. And later I will post some pictures of him opening them and blowing out the candles.

This is the outside of his gift bag. I bought a pack of parachute army men at Target. It was so fun to use them as an Army Man themed birthday present.
Below (Army Guy): "No trip is complete without Ally's favorite treat!"

Each gift had an Army Man tied to it with a speech bubble that I made out of address labels. This present is a pack of my favorite road trip treats- the gummy frogs with white bums! :)
Below (Army Guy): "A game for the road. It's my favorite :)"

This Army Man is guarding one of Cesar's (and my) favorite games, Connect Four. It is a fun key-chain size, so he can play it on the bus on the way out to training today.
Below (Ariel): "I've got a..." [Crush] (Army Man): "on you!!!"
This was one of my favorites in the bag. I am the Little Mermaid and Cesar is the Army Man :D
Below: WARNING! to hot too handle (open with care)

The Soldiers are guarding the hot contents inside ha ha Inside is a cute picture of Cesar and I that I put in a really nice frame.
Below (Army Man): "To help show off your big sexy muscles! ;)"

Inside this gift was a really nice white Hurley shirt from the Buckle. I mainly picked it because it was soft but it has a sweet design on it too.

Here is all the gifts as a whole!

Here is the gift all put together and ready to go. I am not going to lie to you, I loved the way it turned out. Tons of fun and colorful!!!
This is the last thing Cesar will get to open. I originally wanted to have him open all these things on his birthday but Cesar was afraid that things would get ruined or lost while he was in training. So to compromise, I let him open all his gifts but he couldn't open the card.
I got one of the recording/singing Hallmark Cards. I recorded myself singing happy birthday to him, but my own version, which was: "Happy Birthday to you, I really miss you, I can't wait till you're home, So I can kiss you!". And then the cards song was, I'm Gonna Be by the Proclaimers.
